Cheesy Scrambled Eggs Recipe

Sous Vide Preparation: Over medium heat, bring a small pot with 2 cups water to gentle boil.

  1. Scoop out 1/4 cup packed into quart size freezer food safe zip-top bag.
  2. Add 1/4 cup water and 1 tsp oil to bag.
  3. Shake bag to combine well.
  4. Place bag into steaming water for 2 minutes.
  5. Remove bag and using a small dish towel to handle, massage bag to form scrambled egg pieces.
  6. Place bag back into water for another 1 minute or until contents are done.
  7. Repeat massage and let rest for 1 minute before eating.

    These are fairly tasty...

    These are fairly tasty for powdered eggs. Much better than what the Navy used to serve. We're halfway through our second bag, and on a whim, I used 2 eggs worth and made a cheese omelet. While it was not quite a fluffy as a fresh egg, it was dense, almost like a crepe. But it was surprisingly good. And due to the density, it was very filling. I just wish they had a longer best by date. I'll most likely buy some again.
