Make Bagels like a pro using our All Purpose Gluten-Free Bread Mix!
To a mixing bowl, add 3/4 cups (6 oz) lukewarm water, 1 1/2 Tbsp oil, 1 Tbsp yeast (or 1 packet of yeast). Add herbs if desired.
Stir with fork.
Add 1 1/2 cups (7.75oz) dry mix.
Using an electric mixer, mix for 3-5 minutes on low speed; scraping sides midway.
Place parchment on a cookie sheet and spray parchment.
Divide dough into equal portions (about 3oz ea.)
Shape into bagel with oiled hands.
Boil water in a deep pot while you let bagels rise 20 minutes.
Add 2 Tbsp sugar and 2 Tbsp baking soda to boiling water.
Preheat oven to 450˚F.
Immerse bagel dough in water at a rolling boil for 1 minute per side.
Remove from water and drain completely then return to parchment.
Top as desired.
Bake for 12 minutes at 450˚F.
Then cover and bake for an additional 12-15 minutes at 400˚F.
Let cool, this is important, 45 minutes to 1 hour minimum.
