Directions
Preheat oven to 350°F. Toast oats in oven for 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
Process dates in a food processor forming a sticky dough like consistency, about 1 minute.
Make Brown Rice Syrup: add 1/4 cup brown rice sweetener to 1/4 cup water in small saucepan. Heat over medium low heat until thickened syrup forms, about 8 minutes. Syrup will feel slightly viscous between fingers.
Add 1/4 cup soy butter to the brown rice syrup and combine well over low heat.
Add toasted oats, processed dates, and warm brown rice syrup mixture to a bowl and combine well. If using mix-ins add them next and combine again.
Transfer to a parchment lined 8 x 8 pan. Press down firmly and evenly on granola mixture. Cover with plastic wrap. Transfer to refrigerator and let set for 15-20 minutes. Slice into 10 bars and enjoy!
