Savory Jalapeno Cheese Grits Waffles by Sauce Boss Shelby
Make these delicious savory, gluten-free waffles using our Jalapeno Cheddar Cheese Corn Grits recipe by Sauce Boss Shelby
½ cup Judee’s Jalapeno Cheddar Cheese Corn Grits
2 cups milk or water
2 tbsp butter
Pinch of salt
Toppings of Choice: protein, cheese, beans, corn, avocado, guacamole, sour cream, salsa…the options are limitless!
In a nonstick saucepan, bring milk or water to a boil.
Whisk in corn grits to the boiling milk or water.
Reduce heat and simmer for 5-8 minutes until thickened.
Add butter and salt to taste.
Remove from heat and cool for 15 minutes.
Preheat your waffle maker. (featured here as Belgian style!)
After grits are cooled, spoon half the mixture into the waffle maker and bake until done, around 10 minutes. Repeat with the rest of the mixture.
Add your toppings and serve.
